For such a small town Ripon has an amazingly large selection of shopping available. From the mundane requirements of a couple of supermarkets, to gift and clothing stores. Aside from the cities established businesses there is also the weekly market that takes place on the market square every Thursday with a smaller grocery market on Saturdays. Most shops are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with some exceptions such as the cities super markets which are open through the evening.

The city center also hosts a large number of major banking establishments, oversea’s visitors may like to know that banks are generally open 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
