Forbiden Corners
This intriguing place is found just outside Layburn, in the Yorkshire dales past Middleham. About 20 miles outside of Ripon.
I’m not quite sure how to describe Forbidden Corners... but I'll try. The Forbidden Corners is a wonderful place for a family outing where kids of all ages can simply explore with a sense of wonder about what they might trip over next.
The whole place is a giant folly built by Mr C.R.Armstrong O.B.E. originally private, it was opened to the public due to demand.
The folly consists of a labyrinth of fanciful structures, tunnels, statues and other surprises. The highlights include the “Temple of the Underworld” and a pyramid of glass. Watch out though. The route through may not be quite as obvious as you think!
